Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born into an adored family of musicians. As a child, she was inspired by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the classic romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other theatrical performances. At the age 16, she started singing and studying music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive training in singing. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a student, and being a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. Passion and enthusiasm in music, art and performing has her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to continue the tradition.
