MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international inroads into the Latin pop mainstream. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in the year 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album peaked at the rank of eight places on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca, an album that was a Top Five hit. He released in 2020 his charting sophomore album Dopamina and collaborated on Mala Influencia with Noriel. Later in 2021 he performed the duet for TINI's streaming smash track Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was born into a musical family His mother and brother are both musicians. According to Turizo, music was an integral component of his childhood. As a child he learned to play the ukulele, saxophone as well as piano. His initial goal was becoming a vet, His brother Julian got him to attend singing lessons with a Cuban instructor. As a result personally discovering his talent as a performer changed the direction of his life.
